I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.
“You shall have no other gods before me.” Ex 20:2,3

As we live the Christian life, we can be easily discouraged. The constant questions of the world cast doubt in our minds. The first question recorded in the bible was by Satan, who intended to cause Eve to doubt what God had said. Yet, Paul poses this question to the Christian,

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? Ro 8:31

This question, unlike those of the world and of Satan, is to cause the Christian to think of what God has done, that they might be encouraged.

For God the Father loved us so much that he sent his Son to die for us, that we might be justified and that he would take on our sin. If we are his, then who are we to fear; For who is greater than God?

God the Son not only sacrificed himself but he now sits at God’s right hand interceding for us.

God the Spirit loves us that he dwells within us, enabling us to fulfil our chief end, to glorify God, and through that to  enjoy him forever.
